NFL Football is back! This Saturday, August 9, the Jacksonville Jaguars are back for an exciting 2008 preseason opener against the Atlanta Falcons at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. WTEV CBS47, the official station of the Jacksonville Jaguars, will be producing and airing pre-season game broadcasts, and The Coggin Pregame Show starting at 7pm on Saturdays for the 2008 pre-season.
The CBS47 telecast will also be broadcast to Jaguars fans in adjacent TV markets: in Gainesville on WMYG-TV (My11); in Orlando on WRBW-TV (My65); in Savannah on WSAV-DT (My3.2); and new for 2008, the Jaguars Television Network expands into Tallahassee on WTXL-TV (ABC27).
"The addition of the Tallahassee market is a great way to serve the Jaguars' expanding fan base, as well as capitalize on the success of last season, the progress made in the off-season, and the excitement of this year's training camp," said Macky Weaver, Executive Director of Corporate Sponsorships for the Jacksonville Jaguars. "Fans in Tallahassee will get the same exposure to the Jaguars as fans in Gainesville, Orlando and Savannah have for years," added Weaver.
For the Jaguars pre-season game broadcasts, veteran broadcaster Paul Burmeister returns as play-by-play announcer, with former Jaguar Tony Boselli providing color analysis in the booth, and CBS47 Assistant Sports Director Brent Martineau reporting from the field.
The Coggin Pregame Show will begin at live 7pm, hosted by CBS47 Assistant Sports Director Brent Martineau. It will feature reports and commentary from CBS47 Sports Director and Jaguars radio play-by-play announcer Brian Sexton, and former Jaguar Jeff Lageman.
