JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars are going bowling once again …
Senior Bowl-ling, that is.
The Jaguars’ coaching staff will coach the South team in the 2016 Reese’s Senior Bowl, which will be held Saturday, January 30 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. It’s the third consecutive year Gus Bradley and the Jaguars’ staff will coach the South team.
The South team won 20-10 in 2014 and lost 34-13 last year.
“On behalf of the Jaguars, we’re excited about the opportunity to come back to Mobile and coach the Senior Bowl,” Bradley said in a statement. “It provides our staff with a chance to work with the players and really get to know them and we’ve found that to be a very beneficial part of the draft process.”
Said Senior Bowl executive director Phil Savage, “Gus and his coaches have made the week an unbelievable experience for our players over the past two games, so we are thankful they are coming back for a third time.”
The 67th Reese’s Senior Bowl will be held at 2:30 p.m. ET and televised on NFL Network. The Dallas Cowboys will coach the North team.
The Jaguars have used the Senior Bowl the past two offseason to increase their knowledge and comfort level with players in the game.
