NFL veteran cornerback Rashean Mathis, the Jaguars' all-time leader in interceptions with 30, will sign a one-day contract to officially retire as a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday, April 13. Mathis made 137 career appearances for the Jaguars, the sixth-most in club history. His 129 starts are the fourth-most by a Jaguars player, while his 554 tackles rank seventh in franchise history. He is the only player in Jaguars history to return three interceptions for a touchdown and his eight interceptions during the 2006 season are a Jaguars single-season record.
