Biography

Paul, 6-1, 242, was a former WR who made the transition to TE in 2012. In 2016, Paul was voted as the Redskins’ special teams captain prior to the start of the season and appeared in eight games (one start) before being placed on Washington’s reserve/injured list.

Paul, 28, has appeared in 82 games with 36 starts for the Redskins after originally being drafted in the fifth round (155th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft by Washington. Paul’s career totals include 68 receptions for 856 yards (12.6 avg.) and two TDs. In 2017, Paul appeared in 14 games for the Redskins and caught 13 passes for 94 yards.

  A native of Omaha, Neb., Paul attended the University of Nebraska from 2007-10 and appeared in 46 games (29 starts) for the Cornhuskers, totaling 103 receptions for 1,532 yards (14.9 avg.) and five TDs. During his senior season, Paul earned second-team All-Big 12 honors after starting 12 games at WR and totaling 36 catches for 516 yards (14.3 avg.) and one TD. Paul attended Omaha North (Neb.)
