Jason DesJarlais

College Scout

Jason DesJarlais enters his 11th season with the Jaguars and in his role he scouts the Midwest region of the country. He joined the Jaguars as the BLESTO scout for the southeast area on May 18, 2007. Prior to joining the Jaguars, he was the special teams coordinator/defensive assistant at Yale University. While at Yale, he served as an intern for scouting during the Jaguars’ 2006 training camp.

DesJarlais’ college football experience includes stints at Jacksonville University (2005-06) as special teams/recruiting coordinator and secondary coach; the University of San Diego (2002-05) as defensive coordinator/recruiting coordinator.  Also served as interim head coach in 2003; Bates College (2000-02) as defensive line and strength coach; the University of San Diego (1999-2000) defensive line coach; Humboldt State University (1997-99) as defensive line coach; and the University of Montana (Western) (1996-97) as defensive line coach.

DesJarlais attended the University of Montana at Western, playing defensive end there from 1992-95 and twice earning All-America honors (1994-95).  He was also named Defensive MVP of the 1996 National All-Star Game.  On September 26th 2015 he was inducted to the University of Montana Western Hall of Fame and is a member of the 1994 Hall of Fame Football Team.  DesJarlais graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Education, in addition to a Master’s in Science (emphasis in Physiology) from Humboldt State University.
