Jacksonville Jaguars 2023 Fan of the Year

Satchel M. Whetsel, commonly known as "The Commish of Duuuval," can be spotted on game days in his gold mask, Jaguars chains and Jaguars championship belt. He was born and raised on the north side of Jacksonville, Florida. Satchel saw the birth of the Jacksonville Jaguars franchise when he was 11 years old, and he attended his first Jaguars game with his parents in 1995. He now takes his son, Kaleb, to every home game so that he can grow up to be a Jaguars fan as well.

Being The Commish of Duuuval is bigger than just being a superfan on game days. Satchel gets to meet and take photos with a great number of people. He is often told by parents that he elevates their children's game day experience. Satchel believes that taking on this role has made a positive impact on his mental health as well. To Satchel, being The Commish of Duuuval is all about positivity.

Satchel works as a logistics truck driver and DJ. He also supports his wife, Jennifer, with her Filipino food business. He and Jennifer have been married 17 years and have two children, Norvie and Kaleb.

Simon Singleton, AKA Captain DUUUVAL, and an NFL fan since the early 2000s and Jaguars fan for the last 5 years. The Captain has been seen at every London game in recent memory, resplendent in a costume that takes no less than four hours to put on! The Captain aims to spread joy, happiness and of course all things Jags with his outfit and enthusiasm for the Club.

Outside of his fandom he does incredible work with various cancer charities across the UK: Wessex Cancer Support, Anthony Nolan and Macmillan.
