Jack Del Rio promised another wide receiver on day two and the Jaguars made good on their coach's promise by selecting San Jose State WR John Broussard with the first of the team's three seventh-round picks.
Broussard was certainly the fastest player available. He runs in the 4.4's and he's a legitimate deep threat and field-stretcher. He has good hands and runs good routes, reacts well to the ball and blocks aggressively despite being smallish. Broussard is a player with major upside.
The Jaguars will send him into the weight room to get bigger and stronger and, when he comes out, he might end up being a whole lot better than a seventh-round pick.
