Jacksonville Jaguars cheerleader Erin Carlisle is featured in the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Carlisle is one of 12 NFL cheerleaders chosen to be in the issue that hit newsstands earlier this week. This is the first time NFL cheerleaders have appeared in the issue.
Carlisle, a Jacksonville native who is studying to be a court reporter, is a second-year cheerleader with The ROAR and can be seen in the annual calendar in both of her seasons with the team. She represents February in the 2007 issue and March for 2008.
Carlisle was in New York City on Tuesday for the launch of the edition and walked the red carpet with the other models.
"It was a lot of fun and exciting to see all of the other models," Carlisle said. "Everyone was taking our pictures and wanted to know our story and what we thought about being in the magazine. Ever since I was a little girl and watched the behind the scenes of the making of the issue I wanted to be in it, and it was an incredible feeling to be able to live that dream."
