Rookie Jorge Cordova sustained an injury to his left knee in this afternoon's practice and was carted from the field. The extent of the injury was not known.

Cordova, a third-round pick from Nevada-Reno, is a linebacker who was drafted for his pass-rush ability and is expected to serve as a pass-rush specialist this season. He injured the knee as he prepared to engage running back Fred Taylor, who was blocking. Cordova walked to the cart before leaving the field.
