Epstein joins kicking battle

A year after being criticized for drafting a punter too early, Tom Coughlin waited until the Jaguars' final pick of this year's draft to select Michigan punter/kicker Hayden Epstein.

"We are attracted to this situation because after the draft this becomes a very competitive situation," Coughlin said of the undrafted free agency market.

Epstein, 6-1, 212, did the punting, placekicking and kickoff duties at Michigan, though Coughlin will have Epstein join Jaret Holmes and Derek Schorejs in the battle for the two kicking jobs.
