Gameday inactives: Hurns, Greene active

JACKSONVILLE – Allen Hurns will be active for the Jaguars Sunday.

Hurns, who spent the week in the concussion protocol after hitting his head on the turf in Kansas City last Sunday, was ruled active an hour and a half before kickoff of the Jaguars' game against the Houston Texans at EverBank Field.

Wide receiver Rashad Greene Sr. also was activated, meaning the Jaguars' five wide receivers Sunday will be Allen Robinson, Hurns, Marqise Lee, Greene and Arrelious Benn. Wide receiver/punt returner Bryan Walters was ruled out Friday after spending the week in the concussion protocol.

Greene, inactive for the last two games, also could return to his punt returner role. Lee and Walters also have played that role this season.

The Jaguars' other inactives Sunday:

Quarterback Brandon Allen, defensive end Chris Smith (eye), cornerback Josh Johnson, running back Corey Grant, offensive lineman Bryce Harris and defensive tackle Richard Ash.
