JACKSONVILLE – Yannick Ngakoue will play Sunday; Julius Thomas will not.

Ngakoue, a rookie defensive end and the only player questionable on the Jaguars' injury report entering the weekend, was cleared to play Sunday an hour and a half before kickoff of the team's game against the Denver Broncos at EverBank Field.

Ngakoue has been dealing with an ankle injury sustained in a loss at Buffalo last Sunday.

Thomas (back), the veteran tight end who was listed as doubtful on the Friday injury report, officially was confirmed as out an hour and a half before kickoff. Thomas missed the loss at Buffalo.

Three other Jaguars starters had been ruled out because of injury on Friday: wide receiver Allen Hurns (hamstring), running back Chris Ivory (hamstring) and defensive end Jared Odrick (shoulder). Hurns and Ivory sustained their injuries in Buffalo.

Also inactive for the Jaguars: quarterback Brandon Allen, cornerback Josh Johnson and offensive lineman Jeremiah Poutasi.

The Jaguars placed wide receiver Rashad Greene Sr. on injured reserve with an Achilles injury and activated first-year veteran Shane Wynn Saturday.

With Ivory out, T.J. Yeldon and Denard Robinson could share carries at running back. Marqise Lee likely will start for Hurns opposite Allen Robinson at wide receiver with Bryan Walters getting increased work in the slot.

Tyson Alualu likely will start for Odrick for the sixth time this season.
