MATCH UP
- The Jaguars host the Chargers on Saturday, Jan. 14, in the AFC Wild Card Round. It is the Jaguars fifth home postseason game and first since they defeated the Buffalo Bills, 10-3, on Jan. 7, 2018. Jacksonville has recorded a 3-1 record in home playoff games while Head Coach Doug Pederson has served as the head coach in three home playoff games and recorded a 2-1 record. It will be the second time the Jaguars have played a home postseason game on Saturday. In their lone Saturday home postseason contest, the Jaguars defeated the Dolphins, 62-7. The Jaguars are 7-7 all-time in the postseason.
- In Week 18, with the AFC South title on the line, the Jaguars defeated the Titans, 20-16. Jacksonville trailed 16-13 and with 2:51 remaining, S Rayshawn Jenkins forced a fumble on a strip-sack, which OLB Josh Allen returned 37 yards for the game-winning touchdown.
- "I just think this whole journey from where we were to where we are now, to earn this opportunity to go play in the playoffs, it's special," QB Trevor Lawrence said following the game. "So, I'm just proud of the team, of the staff, just everybody, all the work that's been put in to be here. It's taken a lot of work, and it's going to take more to keep going, and we're excited for that and ready for it. But, yeah, it makes it special for sure."
