In and out: Flowers, Fournette out

Cowboys

ARLINGTON, Texas – Ereck Flowers won't play for the Jaguars Sunday.

Neither will a slew of injured Jaguars who were ruled out for earlier in the week, a group that includes second-year running back Leonard Fournette.

Flowers, a left tackle who signed with the Jaguars Friday in the wake of multiple injuries at the position, was ruled out an hour and a half before kickoff against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium Sunday. Fournette earlier in the week was ruled out for a fourth time in five games with a hamstring injury.

Fourth-year veteran Josh Walker, who played left tackle for the Jaguars in the second half of a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last week, will make his first career start there Sunday. T.J. Yeldon again will start for Fournette.

Josh Wells, who started the past three games at left tackle for the Jaguars, was placed on injured reserve with a groin injury Friday; Week 1 starting left tackle Cam Robinson has been out for the season since Week 2 with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Four-time Pro Bowl running back Jamaal Charles and running back Dave Williams are active for the game and will back up Yeldon. Charles and Williams signed with the team Tuesday after third-team running back Corey Grant sustained a season-ending foot injury against Kansas City.

Also inactive for the Jaguars Sunday: cornerback D.J. Hayden (toe), cornerback Tre Herndon (hamstring), nose tackle Eli Ankou, defensive end Dawuane Smoot and offensive guard Chris Reed.
