NEW ORLEANS, La. – Trevor Lawrence will play Thursday night.
That became official around 8:20 p.m. Eastern Thursday when the Jaguars' third-year quarterback was not among five players made inactive against the New Orleans Saints at the Caesars Superdome.
Lawrence, who sustained a knee injury in a victory over the Indianapolis Colts Sunday, was listed as questionable on the Jaguars' final injury report of the week Wednesday. He practiced limited Tuesday and Wednesday.
Also active for the Jaguars Thursday: Right guard Brandon Scherff, who sustained an ankle injury against the Colts Sunday. He also had been listed as questionable on the final injury report of the week.
Jaguars inactives Thursday:
- Wide receiver Zay Jones (knee)
- Running back JaMycal Hasty
- Cornerback Tyson Campbell (hamstring)
- Outside linebacker Yasir Abdullah
- Left guard Walker Little (knee)
Campbell sustained his injury against the Colts, with Jones and Little missing that game after leaving a victory over the Buffalo Bills the previous Sunday.
Also: Quarterback Nathan Rourke is inactive as the designated third quarterback.
