Jaguars activate rookie fullback Brock Bolen

The Jacksonville Jaguars activated rookie fullback Brock Bolen from the practice squad and waived cornerback/kick returner Brian Witherspoon (pictured), the club announced today.

Bolen, 6-0, 233, was signed as an undrafted free agent on April 26 and has spent the first 14 weeks on the club's practice squad. He was a three-year letterman at Louisville after transferring from Illinois in 2005. He finished with 1,321 rushing yards on 271 carries with 16 touchdowns. A native of Germantown, Ohio, the 24-year-old Bolen attended Valley View High School where he rushed for 2,087 yards and 40 touchdowns.

Witherspoon played in 21 games for the Jaguars after joining the club as an undrafted rookie in 2008. He recorded a 23.9-yard average on 76 kick returns and an 11.3-yard average on 24 punt returns.
