The Jaguars have added, yet, more depth to their offensive line. The team has signed veteran guard/tackle Raleigh Roundtree to a one-year contract under the "beneficial salary" program.
Roundtree will be paid the league-minimum $525,000 in salary this year, but only $450,000 of that will count against the Jaguars' salary cap. He also received a $25,000 signing bonus.
He played every play of last season at guard for the Chargers. Roundtree was a fourth-round pick by the Chargers out of South Carolina State in 1997. He moved into the starting lineup in the 2000 season and was a starter in 31 of the Chargers' last 32 games.
