JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Today the Jacksonville Jaguars announced plans for the annual Florida Blue Family Night with Nickelodeon at EverBank Field on Friday, August 5 at 5:30 p.m. The scrimmage is free and open to the public for fans who register in advance at www.jaguars.com/familynight.
The Jaguars are joining forces with Nickelodeon in celebration of its third annual "Road to Worldwide Day of Play" campaign to create the first-ever kid zone built inside the stadium bowl. Florida Blue Family Night with Nickelodeon will feature Nick-themed games, including a Super Slime obstacle course, Nick bowling, a slime booth, costume characters and more. All kid-friendly activities will be located around the south end zone, including on the sky patio underneath one of the world's largest video boards, providing families the chance to both play and watch practice at the same time.
"Partnering with Nickelodeon gives us the chance to act on our theory that families want to attend games together, but have different needs," said Jaguars Vice President of Marketing and Digital Media Steve Ziff. "We believe that creating a place for kids to play that allows mom and dad to still watch the game will help us attract more families and develop more young Jaguars fans."
Gates will open to all fans at 5:30 p.m. In the Nick Kid Zone, fans can arrive early to play with all of the games, meet Jaxson de Ville and get autographs from the ROAR cheerleaders and Jaguars alumni players. Discounted concessions will be available, including brand new selections from the 2016 season menu. Following the scrimmage, players will sign autographs along the field walls while the stadium lights are dimmed for a fireworks show. For US Assure Club ticket holders, Florida Blue Family Night will be the first opportunity to watch football and experience all the new features of the two unique, newly-renovated luxury spaces.
"It's exciting to continually enhance the in-stadium experience with new, improved and customized environments for our fans to enjoy," said Jaguars President Mark Lamping. "We're excited to welcome everyone back inside EverBank Field for a night of football and fun for every member of the family."
Parking is available in lots C, D, E, J and P at no charge. Admission to Florida Blue Family Night with Nickelodeon is free, but advanced online registration is required to receive a ticket for entrance. Fans should visit www.jaguars.com/familynight to register.
Nickelodeon kicked off its third annual "Road to Worldwide Day of Play" campaign on May 20, hosting events in six cities, with a record number of kids and partners that encourage kids to get outside and get active. The cross-country celebration of kids' love of play will culminate with Nickelodeon's 13th annual Worldwide Day of Play on Saturday, September 17, when the network will suspend programming from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. (ET/PT) and host grassroots activities with its partners across the U.S. to celebrate play.
