JACKSONVILLE – It's official: The No. 1 overall selection is signed.

Travon Walker, the No. 1 overall selection by the Jaguars in the 2022 NFL Draft, has signed his rookie contract. The team announced the signing Thursday afternoon, a day before the first day of the team's rookie minicamp at TIAA Bank Field.

Walker (6-feet-5, 272 pounds), an outside linebacker from Georgia, forewent his senior season to declare for the draft after starting all 15 games in 2021 for the national-champion Bulldogs. He registered a career-high six sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss with 37 tackles. He is considered a versatile player who can play multiple positions along the defensive front.

Walker – a Southeastern Conference All-freshman selection in 2019 – played 36 games with 15 starts in three seasons at Georgia, registering 9.5 sacks and six pass breakups with 65 total tackles and 13 tackles for loss.

The Jaguars on Thursday also officially signed four other '22 draft selections: Linebacker Devin Lloyd (Round 1, No. 27 overall, Utah), running back Snoop Conner (Round 5, No. 154 overall, Mississippi), cornerback Greg Junior (Round 6, No. 197 overall, Ouachita Baptist) and cornerback Montaric Brown (Round 7, No. 222, Arkansas).

Two Jaguars '22 selections remain unsigned: offensive lineman Luke Fortner (Round 3, No. 65 overall, Kentucky) and linebacker Chad Muma (Round 3, No. 70 overall, Wyoming).
