JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars have promoted CB Breon Borders and OL Brandon Thomas from the practice squad to the 53-man active roster, the club announced today. To make room, the Jaguars placed S Ronnie Harrison (knee) and OL Jermey Parnell (knee) on the team's reserve/injured list.

Borders, 6-0, 189, has been on Jacksonville's practice squad since Week 8 of the 2018 season. He originally signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted rookie in 2017 and spent the first 14 weeks of the 2017 season on the Raiders' practice squad. Borders was on the Bills active roster for the last two games of 2017, but was inactive in both contests. He saw action on special teams in the Bills' AFC Wild Card game against the Jaguars. Borders played in 49 games (35 starts) at Duke University from 2013-16 and registered 148 tackles, 12 INTs and 34 PDs. In 2016 as a senior, Borders earned third-team All-ACC honors from the league's head coaches after recording 27 tackles, 11 PDs and two INTs.

Thomas, 6-3, 317, is a second-year veteran that played collegiately at Clemson. The Spartanburg, S.C. native has also spent time with San Francisco and Detroit before originally joining the Jaguars in 2017. Thomas has never played in an NFL game.

The Jaguars now have 53 players on their active roster.
