Jaguars Re-Sign Tight End James O'Shaughnessy

JACKSONVILLE– The Jacksonville Jaguars have re-signed seventh-year tight end James O'Shaughnessy, the club announced today.

O'Shaughnessy, 6-4, 245, has appeared in 73 games and made 34 starts in his seven-year NFL career. He has caught 88 passes for 864 yards and three TDs, including 80 catches for 778 yards and three TDs in his four seasons with the Jaguars (2017-20). In 2020, O'Shaughnessy returned from a knee injury suffered in 2019 and caught a career-high 28 passes for 262 yards.

He attended Illinois State and played in 49 games, starting 37 and totaled 67 receptions for 1,170 yards and 14 TDs. He earned Second-Team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honors as a senior after totaling 29 receptions for 544 yards and nine TDs. He's from Naperville, Ill. and attended Naperville North High School.
