The Jacksonville Jaguars signed veteran long snapper Jake Ingram, the club announced today. The Jaguars' roster stands at 85 players.  Teams must reduce their rosters to a maximum of 80 players by 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, August 30.

Ingram, 6-3, 240, is in his third NFL season and has played in 25 games. He has spent time with New England, New Orleans and Tennessee.  He was a sixth-round draft pick of the Patriots in 2009, the only long snapper selected in the draft.  He played in 24 games with the Patriots before he was waived after eight games in 2010.  He played in one game for the Saints before being signed to a futures contract by Tennessee in January of 2011.

A native of Mililani, Hawaii, Ingram was a four-year letterman at Hawaii.  He began his career as a defensive end before switching full-time to long snapper early in his freshman season.  His brother, Luke, is currently a long snapper at Hawaii.
