The Jacksonville Jaguars today waived five players: safety Ainsley Battles, wide receiver Henry Douglas, linebacker Jeff Kelly, punter/placekicker Damon Duval and offensive lineman Alex Jackson.

Battles played in 29 games for the Jaguars and started 15 from 2001 to '02 after being waived by Pittsburgh. The former undrafted rookie out of Vanderbilt had 89 tackles (69 solo), one sack and three interceptions with the Jaguars. Douglas, spent the entire 2002 season on the team's practice squad and was activated to the 53-man roster for one game.

Kelly was signed as a free agent from the Atlanta Falcons on May 27. Duval was signed after the draft as an undrafted rookie from Auburn, and Jackson signed on May 19 as an undrafted rookie out of Georgia.

The Jaguars' roster is now at 85 players.
