HC Liam Coen Shares DE Travon Walker Update: 'Down to the Wire' Decision

JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars on Saturday practiced at the Miller Electric Center.

The Jaguars (3-1) will play the Kansas City Chiefs (2-2) at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville Monday in a 2025 Week 5 game. A look at Saturday around the Jaguars – with Head Coach Liam Coen speaking to the media for the final time before Monday.

Coen's not ruling Travon Walker out.

Walker, the Jaguars' fourth-year defensive end, practiced on a limited basis Saturday and still may play Monday despite missing practice Thursday and Friday. Travon Walker underwent surgery this past Monday after sustaining a wrist injury in a victory over the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday.

Walker was listed as questionable on Saturday's final injury report of the week.

"We're going to go right down to the wire with it; we will," Coen said. "As much as he can keep getting the swelling and stuff … it's just a matter of that. I trust that if he says he can go, then we'll go."

Coen cited players such as veterans Emmanuel Ogbah, Dennis Gardeck and Dawuane Smoot and rookie B.J. Green II at defensive end.

"Those guys know they may have to step up," Coen said. "There are multiple guys who have played in those opportunities within the flow of games. Those guys have all done a nice job. It will be a little bit by committee, but I have a lot of faith in those guys up front." …

Linebacker Yasir Abdullah was the lone Jaguars player ruled out on Saturday's injury report, with rookie guard Wyatt Milum listed as questionable with a knee injury. Abdullah missed the victory over the 49ers and Milum has been inactive in all four games this season.

Then he lines up at end at times in some known passing situations. It's going to take a village, like that's kind of what we've been talking about, really with these rushers.
