Former Jaguars Athletic Trainer Mike Ryan Honored by Pro Football Hall of Fame

JACKSONVILLE – A former Jaguars athletic trainer will be honored in Canton.

Mike Ryan, the Jaguars' head athletic trainer for their first 19 seasons, has been chosen as one of three individuals to be honored by the Pro Football Hall of Fame from the Athletic Trainers category at the 2026 Awards of Excellence. Former Buffalo Bills trainer Ed Abramoski and former Detroit Lions trainer Kent Falb also will be honored.

A cocktail dinner and awards luncheon to celebrate their careers and those of this year's other honorees will take place June 24-25 in Canton, Ohio – site of the Hall of Fame. This year's honorees will be recognized in the categories of Assistant Coaches, Athletic Trainers, Public Relations Directors, Equipment Managers and Film/Video Directors.

Ryan, who spent his first seven NFL seasons with the New York Giants, joined the Jaguars in 1994 and retired from the NFL and the Jaguars following the 2013 season. He is currently a sports medicine analyst for NBC Sports, contributing to the network's "Sunday Night Football" and "Football Night in America" broadcasts.
