JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed DE Travon Walker to a four-year contract extension, the team announced today.

"Travon fits what we want to be and what we're about as an organization," said Jaguars General Manager James Gladstone. "His love for the game and his teammates is infectious and his determination to play through injury last season cemented our belief in him. His best football is still ahead of him, and we're excited that will happen with the Jaguars."

Walker, 25, has played 63 games (60 starts) for Jacksonville since being drafted by the team first overall in the 2022 NFL Draft. His career totals include 200 tackles (101 solo), 57 quarterback hits, 36 tackles for loss, 27.5 sacks, seven passes defensed, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries (including one returned 35 yards for a touchdown) and one interception. In three postseason starts, Walker has registered 10 tackles (five solo), four quarterback hits, one tackle for loss, one pass defensed and a half-sack.

Walker's 27.5 sacks are ninth-most in franchise history and make him one of just four players from the 2022 draft class to eclipse 25.0 career sacks. He produced back-to-back seasons with double-digit sacks in 2023 (10.0) and 2024 (10.5) to become the second player in franchise history to produce 10.0 or more sacks in consecutive seasons. Walker has recorded 10-plus quarterback hits in each of his four seasons with the Jaguars, tied for the second-longest streak in team history, and is one of three members of his draft class to do so. In 2025, he contributed to a defensive front that led the NFL in fewest rushing yards allowed and ranked third in the AFC and seventh in the NFL in quarterback pressures (per Next Gen Stats).

A native of Thomaston, Ga., Walker played collegiately at Georgia from 2019-21 where he totaled 65 tackles (34 solo), 13 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, four passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble in 36 games played.
