McManus: AFC Special Teams Player of the Week

McManus Special Teams of the Week

LONDON – One of the Jaguars' newer players made a big impact Sunday.

Brandon McManus was honored for that impact.

McManus, a 10-year NFL veteran who signed with the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent this past offseason, on Wednesday was announced as the AFC's Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in a 23-7 victory over the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium in London this past Sunday.

McManus, who spent 2014-2022 with the Denver Broncos, converted all three of his field-goal attempts against the Falcons. He was successful from 56, 43 and 38 yards – with the 56-yarder being the longest field goal in the AFC Sunday.

His 43- and 38-yarders were key as the Jaguars pulled away from a 17-second-half lead to secure a victory that stopped a two-game losing streak.

McManus was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week three times with Denver.
