Two home games, two big wins, one road game with a one-touchdown loss to a quality opponent in a notoriously difficult venue. Let's take a week off worrying about snap counts and the other details, guys. I would say we have got the makings of a good team here.
The NFL is a week-to-week league – and the first three weeks of the Jaguars' 2026 NFL season is a testament not only to that, but to the emotional highs and lows fans feels as their teams navigate a very balanced, hard-to-figure league. The Jaguars were really impressive in a 35-6 victory over the defending AFC Champion New England Patriots at EverBank Stadium Sunday, just as they were really impressive in a 34-10 Week 1 victory over the Cleveland Browns in Week 1. They were clunky and – as Head Coach Liam Coen put it – "out of sync" in a 20-13 Week 2 loss to the Denver Broncos. Because it has been a while since the Jaguars were good for an extended period, it is perhaps understandable that Jaguars observers and fans do not realize that this is very much the norm for contending NFL teams. You look really good sometimes – as the Jaguars absolutely looked in a strikingly complete victory over the Patriots. And sometimes you match up against a team playing well and look as the Jaguars did in the second half in Denver. The idea early in the season is to manage the highs and lows, stay in contention, then figure out what you do well – and stay healthy – and get stronger and get into the postseason. The Jaguars have had by any measure a successful first three games. They are navigating the early season. They have the pieces and the approach to be really good. Fourteen games remain. The sky never was falling and the 2026 Jaguars always have been a very good team capable of contending. They have lost one game this season and here's an insider tip: They probably will lose more games this season. This is because they play professional football and do not play in the Southeastern Conference. The Jaguars' defensive and offensive lines played well for the most part Sunday. You don't usually beat the defending conference champions by 29 points if that isn't the case.

John, I think it is time everyone stops calling Jaguars defensive ends Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker one of the best defensive-end duos in the NFL. Too many games it seems both of them disappear from the game or make very little impact. Sunday was another great example of that.

Oh, man. How unimaginably gratifying for Jaguars wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter to get a pick and prevent points, with all the discourse from pundits about the Jaguars coaching staff "holding him back."
Hunter made a nice, point-preventing interception in the end zone off Patriots quarterback Drake Maye Sunday for his first career interception late in the first half. It was a big-time athletic play, the sort of play for which the Jaguars selected Hunter No. 2 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. Good for him. It was a very important moment in what at the time was still a very competitive game.

KOAF: I wrote a few days ago that the Jaguars need to increase second-half scoring and stomp on the necks of their opponents until their fans are begging for mercy and wallowing in misery and embarrassment. I like to think Trevor had that in mind when he took a knee at the 1-yard line just to rub it in a bit more. I know it is not being nice, but for 24 hours, I do not care.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence "took a knee" at the Patriots 1-yard line Sunday after a 15-yard run on third down from the Patriots 16. The play came with 8:06 remaining with the Jaguars leading 28-3 – and therefore has been a "topic" on social media. Lawrence said afterward he was a bit in "four-minute mode, which is when the offense is trying to run efficiently and drain the clock. Through that lens, it was a smart football play. But with eight minutes remaining, scoring and not having to run a running back into the line of scrimmage in short-yardage violence was the preferable play. It was in the big picture a pretty harmless/forgivable case of a player doing the right thing at the wrong time – and a pretty forgivable sin all things considered. But Lawrence in no way was trying to "rub it in."

See what happens when you give Tuten the lion's share of carries instead of splitting half the carries with three other running backs? Also, Jaguars General Manager James Gladstone is going to pay big for not getting the Parker deal done this summer. Back the green dump truck up in Duval, because there will be a mutiny from fans if he walks!
Running back Bhayshul Tuten has carried 15, 13 and 15 times in three games with running back Chris Rodriguez carrying six, six and eight times in three games, so I don't know that the lion was roaring all that loudly in Tuten's favor Sunday as much as the Jaguars overall just running a bit better than they did in the first two games. The Jaguars already have tried to "pay big" for wide receiver Parker Washington and I expect they will continue trying to get a contract extension done.

The Jaguars have been playing well at home for the most part lately. They only wear the Prowler Throwbacks at home. Chicken, meet egg. Or something like that.

Great game to watch Sunday. I have just a few questions. 1. Did we just expose the Patriots? Have they been getting away with unearned victories and we just ripped away the curtain, or are we really that good! 2. How is DHam doing?
There is no such thing as an unearned NFL victory and there is no such thing as an unearned Super Bowl appearance. The Jaguars are good and capable of winning by wide margins when they play well. The Patriots, while a good team, are not perfect and are capable of losing to good teams by wide margins when they do not play well. Jaguars defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton is playing nose tackle as well as any player in the NFL.

Cameron is a big DAWG!!! TD, then special teams tackle right after. He does a lot of little things that naked eyes don't see. Where did we find this guy. And Parker Washington is like Antonio Brownish slotish/No. 1 receiver kind of player. PAY THIS MAN!!!!
Rookie wide receiver Josh Cameron caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from Lawrence in the second quarter Sunday, marking his second touchdown reception in as many home games. The Jaguars love Cameron. I expect him to continue to matter very much to this team and offense moving forward. Washington is really good. The Jaguars would love to sign him to a contract extension. Wanting to do something isn't always the same as being able to get something done in the short term.

The Jaguars are a good team. That does not mean they always win, but they consistently have had a chance in a lot of consecutive games. Because they are a good team.
