JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars' 2019 season will open in high-profile fashion.
It also will feature their first prime-time, regular-season home game since 2015 – and their first regular-season home finale in eight seasons.
The Jaguars will open the '19 season on Sunday, September 8 at 1 p.m. against the defending AFC West Champion Kansas City Chiefs at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville and close it there on Sunday, December 29 at 1 p.m. against the Indianapolis Colts – two highlight games of the team's 2019 regular-season schedule.
The NFL released the regular-season schedule for all 32 teams Wednesday at 8 p.m.
The Chiefs game is a rematch of a Week 5 Kansas City victory over the Jaguars in 2018, and the home finale against the Colts will mark the first time the Jaguars have ended the regular season at home since 2011. They beat Indianapolis at home in the regular-season finale that season.
The Jaguars will enter the season with one prime-time game – a Week 3 home game against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday, September 19 that will be televised nationally on the NFL Network. The Jaguars' last home prime-time game came against Tennessee in 2015.
The team's annual home game at Wembley Stadium in London will be played against the Houston Texans on Sunday, November 3 at 9:30 a.m. – and also will be televised on the NFL Network.
The Jaguars' this season will play four games each against the NFC South and AFC West and six games against AFC South teams. They also will play the 2018 last-place teams from the AFC East (New York Jets) and AFC North (Pittsburgh Steelers).
