Regular-Season Finale, Week 18 Jaguars vs. Titans: Time, Day Set

Standings-week17

JACKSONVILLE –The Jaguars' Week 18 time and date are set.

The Jaguars will play the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday at 1 p.m. If the Jaguars win, they will win a second consecutive AFC South title.

The NFL announced the times and dates for Week 18 games late Sunday night.

The Jaguars (9-7), who snapped a four-game losing streak with a 26-0 victory over the Carolina Panthers at EverBank Stadium Sunday, can not win the South if they lose to the Titans. The Jaguars can still clinch a wild-card spot if they lose to the Titans, but they would need help from other teams to do so.

The Jaguars enter Week 18 tied with the same record in the South as the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans, with those teams playing in Indianapolis Saturday night. Though the Jaguars would finish tied with that game's winner if they beat the Titans, the Jaguars would win the division over either team in that scenario because they would hold tiebreaker advantages over either team.

The Jaguars' tiebreaker scenario over the Colts is a sweep of the season series. Their tiebreaker over the Texans in the event of a first-place tie between Jacksonville and Houston would be a better division record.

The Jaguars can also win the AFC South if they tie the Titans and the Colts and Texans tie Saturday.

The Jaguars according to the Elias Sports Bureau will make the postseason as a wild-card team if they lose Sunday and the following happens: The Pittsburgh Steelers lose to the Baltimore Ravens Saturday, the Denver Broncos lose to or tie the Las Vegas Raiders Sunday and Colts-Texans does not end in a tie.
