Roster Moves: Jaguars Sign CBs Jaylon Jones & Alijah Huzzie

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have made the following roster moves, the team announced today:

  • Signed CB Jaylon Jones to the active roster
  • Signed CB Alijah Huzzie to the active roster
  • Waived/Injured CB Christian Braswell
  • Placed S Caleb Ransaw on Reserve/Injured list

Jones, 27, originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Bears in 2022. He played 56 games (six starts) in four seasons with Chicago (2022-25). His career totals include 70 tackles, four passes defensed, two forced fumbles, one tackle for loss and one quarterback hit as well as 31 special teams tackles. Jones had a career-high 12 special teams tackles last season and played in both of Chicago's postseason games.

Jones, a native of Allen, Texas, played collegiately at Ole Miss (2016-21) where he totaled 153 tackles, 19 passes defensed, 6.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one interception.

Huzzie, 25, originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Texans in 2025. He played in two games last season and totaled three tackles and an interception as well as a special teams tackle. He began 2026 on Houston's practice squad.

Huzzie is a native of LaGrange, Ga. and attended North Carolina (2023-24) and East Tennessee State (2019-22). With the Tar Heels, he produced 82 tackles (6.5 for loss), 18 passes defensed, four interceptions and 2.0 sacks in 24 games and earned All-ACC honors in 2023.
