Texans Running Back Duke Johnson: Sunday November 8, 2020

(On his mentality on playing more and stepping in for David Johnson) "I mean, the biggest thing is always the next man up, just being ready for the opportunity. Coach talked this week about the next man up and being ready for the opportunity. That's all that was – preparation, being ready, practice like I'm going to play, like I did today."

(On how much two long touchdowns help the offense) "It helps a lot. Just knowing at any given time we can make a big play and score a touchdown from anywhere on the field."

(On what he's seen from this offense that has allowed it to grow from the start of the season) "I think it's the trust and belief. We're trusting the person calling the plays. We're believing in Deshaun [Watson] and getting open for him and protecting him because we know if he's off the ground and he's on his feet, he can make any throw in the world."

(On what impresses him about what QB Deshaun Watson does on the ground) "His ability to make plays out of nothing. A lot of times today he used his legs to get us a first down when we needed it. His read that he wanted to throw the ball wasn't there, so he took off and had a lot of crucial runs for us today."

(On if the passing game is working better this season than it was last season) "I think it's still too early to tell. We still have a lot of football left to play, but we're definitely making strides that we wanted to make. We have the playmakers that can make plays at any given time from anywhere on the field. We're getting there, but there's still a long season left and we still have a lot of football to play."
