JACKSONVILLE – One remains.

With the Jaguars officially into Phase 3 of the offseason program, the Jaguars officially are down to one remaining unsigned rookie.

T.J. Yeldon, a running back from the University of Alabama, signed his rookie contract with the Jaguars around noon Wednesday at EverBank Field. The signing came shortly after practice on the second day of 2015 organized team activities and made Yeldon the seventh of eight players from the 2015 NFL Draft class to sign with the team.

"It's a dream come true," Yeldon told Jaguars.com shortly after signing. "I've been dreaming about this day since I was a kid, and now it's finally here. I'm glad I got over it and it's official now."

Yeldon (6-feet-1, 226 pounds), a second-round selection and the No. 36 selection overall, joined first-round defensive end Dante Fowler Jr., fourth-round safety James Sample, fifth-round wide receiver Rashad Green, sixth-round selection Michael Bennett, seventh-round wide receiver Neal Sterling and seventh-round tight end Ben Koyack as selections signing with the Jaguars thus far this offseason.

Yeldon rushed for 3,322 yards and 37 touchdowns on 576 carries in three seasons at Alabama, rushing for 979 yards and 11 touchdowns on 194 carries as a junior. He rushed for 1,235 yards and 14 touchdowns on 207 carries as a sophomore and 1,108 yards and 12 touchdowns on 175 carries as a freshman.

Yeldon has been impressive thus far in rookie minicamp and the offseason program, and many project him as the probable starter next season.

"It's kind of like Alabama, a pro-style (offense)," Yeldon said. "Everything's kind of the same, so I didn't have any problems doing some of the stuff. I have to pick up the plays, different blitzes and stuff, but other than that it's been going good."

Yeldon added with a smile that the NFL was "a lot different" than Alabama in one sense.

"You don't have to go to class; that's a good thing," he said. "I can focus straight on football and get better every day."

Only third-round guard A.J. Cann remains unsigned. Fowler, Sample, Sterling, Koyack, Bennett and Greene all signed within the first two weeks after 2015 rookie minicamp.
