National Girls + Women in Sports Day 🏈

National Girls + Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) is a day nationally recognized to celebrate the accomplishments and achievements of girls and women in sports, achievements of female athletes, coaches and overall the positive impact on women in the industry. Each year, the Jaguars ensure their female staff feels honored for all the amazing things they do to make our organization stronger.

SHADOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY

As we continue to work to impact access and lift the narrative for women in the sports industry, the Jaguars are opening 6 shadowing spots. These shadowing spots create opportunities for women in college who have an interest in pursuing a career in athletics and entertainment at the highest level.

Learnings

  • What the day-to-day activities of a professional sports team looks like, as well as what various career fields and paths exist.
  • Observe events, meetings and communications of the mentor(s) you are shadowing.

Shadowship Qualifications Required

  • While open to all university students, this opportunity aims to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Additionally, this opportunity will prioritize impacting students in our local community (to the Jaguars Northeast Florida Market). 
  • Enrolled in university.
  • All Interest must be submitted through TeamWork Online. 
  • Be available to be onsite for the full duration of the shadowing term, June 1 - 5, 2026.

Preferred

  • Have a dream or goal to one day work within the world of sports and entertainment.

  • Term: June 1 - 5, 2026
  • This posting closes on February 27, 2026.
  • Shadowships are not paid positions of the Jaguars. Duties will not be performed nor assigned. Shadowing is a time for students to observe, learn and better identify their ideal career path.
  • Chosen shadows are responsible for accommodation, such as housing and transportation.
  • Those identified to enter the process of selection, will be invited to do so via email in March and April.
