What was your first impression of being a Jaguars Rookie? I love it. The area, as far as Jacksonville, has been a pleasure to be here. It's been awesome so far. The weather's very similar to where I'm from in California, so I'm thankful for that. The guys that I came here with, I'm grateful for, and the vets as well. The coaching staff, I couldn't have asked for a better coaching staff in the NFL.
What is your favorite memory from your rookie year of college? I was back at the University of Southern California. For me, it was a little different, because I went home every weekend. It was only a 45 minute drive. But my favorite rookie memory was probably that first feeling of being a rookie. I came in early, and I was one of the only guys there. Everyone welcomed me in with open arms. We had a new coaching staff, and a lot of transfers as well so all of us were there together. It was a bunch of high caliber guys that everyone was really excited for at the school. That initial season started out with our parade that we do for the football team. Standing on that stage and being there was a good feeling and a lot of fun.
Who is your 2026 Rookie Class best friend? I have two. Riley Nowakowski, who plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers and was drafted in the 5th round. He was with me at Wisconsin and was a walk-on. He's had a great journey and deserved to be drafted. On the team, Josh Cameron. Another walk on guy, but he deserves to be here and is a receiver with me.
What is your favorite thing about Jacksonville so far? Definitely the beach area. Neptune and Jacksonville beach have some really cool shops and places to eat. The water is warm, and the waves, not as good as California waves, but I enjoy being over there.
