Will Wynkoop is entering his fifth season as assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Jaguars after joining the team in 2021. In his current role, Wynkoop works primarily with quarterbacks and specialists with an emphasis in performance training and biomechanics.
In 2020, Wynkoop served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach for Clemson's football program. His role primarily consisted of training the quarterbacks, including Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence, while also working with the running backs, wide receivers and defensive backs. The Tigers finished the 2020 season 10-2 with an ACC Championship win and a College Football Playoff appearance, and Lawrence was named ACC Player of the Year.
Prior to returning to Clemson as a graduate assistant, Wynkoop spent the 2019 season working as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Atlanta Falcons. During his time with the organization, the Falcons had two Pro Bowl selections: DT Grady Jarrett, a former Clemson Tiger, and WR Julio Jones.
Before his opportunity with the Falcons, Wynkoop served as a student administrative assistant at Clemson for four years under Director of Football Strength and Conditioning Joey Batson.
Wynkoop earned a bachelor's degree with a major in psychology and a minor in athletic leadership from Clemson and a master's degree in athletic leadership.
Wynkoop is a native of Greenville, S.C., and a graduate of Christ Church Episcopal School, where he helped the Cavaliers to a 59-1 record and four SCHSL 1A State Championships. Wynkoop served as team co-captain during his senior year.
