John Stevenson enters his sixth season with the Jaguars and first as senior personnel executive in 2026. He previously served as assistant director of college scouting from 2024-25.
Stevenson has 12 years of experience in NFL scouting departments, having previously spent six seasons with the 49ers scouting department in various roles, including the Nunn-Wooten Fellowship during training camp (2015), scouting assistant (2015-17) and area scout (2017-21).
Stevenson played for the Bemidji Axemen of the Indoor Football League and went to training camp with the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League in 2015. In 2013, he signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent.
As a senior at Georgia Southern in 2012, he led the team with 103 tackles. He was voted to the team's leadership council by his peers and was named a team captain. Additionally, Stevenson was the recipient of the 2012 Erk Russell Award, given in honor of the late Georgia Southern Head Coach Erk Russell to a player who exemplifies the traits needed to play for him. A native of Stone Mountain, Ga., Stevenson graduated from Georgia Southern in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in management as well as a minor in marketing.
