Tara Turner is in her third season with the Jacksonville Jaguars as player finance and football administration assistant after joining the organization in July 2024. In this role, her responsibilities include creating, reviewing and executing player contracts; evaluating NFL draft prospects; and tracking and measuring NFL position markets.
Before coming to Jacksonville, Turner spent two seasons with Samford University's football program. She began as director of football management (2022-24), spearheading recruiting and personnel operations for both high school and transfer recruiting. In February 2024, she was promoted to chief of staff and ran all aspects of team operations, personnel and administration for the program.
Turner also had a stint with the New York Jets as a scouting and personnel intern during 2023 training camp.
Turner attended Tulane University, where she got her bachelor's degree in legal studies in business in 2019 and her juris doctor with a certificate in sports law in 2022. She is a member of the Texas Bar Association. While at Tulane, Turner served the football program as equipment head student manager (2016-19) and a graduate assistant in recruiting and operations (2019-22).
