JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed third-year CB Tyler Patmon, the club announced today.

"Every little opportunity you get in this league is big," said Patmon after signing his contract. "For the Jaguars to bring me in, sign me and give me that chance; it's a great opportunity for me."

Patmon, 5-10, 188, has appeared in 24 career games with two starts and has totaled 21 tackles and seven passes defensed, including one INT. In 2016, Patmon had stints on the practice squad with the Kansas City Chiefs (Weeks 7-8, 10) and the Carolina Panthers (Weeks 12-17). Patmon participated in the 2016 training camp with the Tennessee Titans after being claimed off waivers from the Miami Dolphins, but was waived during the preseason (Aug. 30).

"I feel like I can do it all," said Patmon. "I'm going to come in here and the first thing I'm going to do is work hard, work my butt off for the coaches and do whatever they want me to do. I can play special teams, I can play corner, I can play nickel, so wherever they see me fit is what I'm ready to do."

In 2015, Patmon played in 13 games, including 11 for the Dallas Cowboys and two for the Dolphins. After being signed as an undrafted rookie by the Cowboys in 2014, Patmon appeared in 11 games during his rookie campaign and returned a Carson Palmer INT for a TD against Cardinals on Nov. 2, 2014.

Patmon finished his collegiate career at Oklahoma State University after transferring from the University of Kansas where he graduated with one year of eligibility remaining. In his lone year at Oklahoma State, Patmon played in 13 games with five starts and totaled 30 tackles, one INT and tied for the team lead with nine passes defensed. For his career, Patmon totaled 176 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, seven INTs, 31 passes defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in 48 games with 33 starts for Oklahoma State and Kansas.

Patmon, 26, attended Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park, Texas and graduated from Kansas with a degree in general studies.
