JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars juggled the bottom of the roster a bit Sunday.

That came the same day that the team signed six players to the practice squad, with all of the practice-squad signees having spent training camp with the organization.

Linebacker Arthur Brown, a four-year veteran, was claimed off waivers by the Jaguars from Baltimore on Sunday – and third-year safety Marqueston Huff was claimed off waivers from Tennessee. The Jaguars released running back Joe Banyard.

The Jaguars also re-signed wide receiver Arrelious Benn and placed offensive tackle Josh Wells on injured reserve. Wells sustained a thumb injury during training camp.

The Jaguars have the option of designating Wells as their injured reserve-designated-to-return player because he was on the original 53-player roster.

Huff will begin the season on the team's Reserve/Suspended by Commissioner list for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy. Because he does not count against the 53-man roster, the roster stands at the league-mandated minimum of 53.

Brown, a second-round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft by Baltimore, played in all 16 games last season with two solo tackles. Huff, a fourth-round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, also played all 16 games last season.

The Jaguars' six practice-squad signees Sunday: first-year defensive tackle Richard Ash, third-year wide receiver Shaq Evans, rookie offensive lineman Rashod Hill, first-year wide receiver Rashad Lawrence, second-year cornerback Nick Marshall, first-year wide receiver Shane Wynn and third-year linebacker Sean Porter.

Three open spots remain on the Jaguars' 10-player practice squad.
