LONDON – Doug Marrone's an international guy.

Specifically, the Jaguars' head coach considers himself a London guy – and he said Friday he's very fond of the city where Jaguars will play Sunday.

"Going into London, I love the city," Marrone said Friday as the Jaguars (1-1) prepared to play the Baltimore Ravens (2-0) at Wembley Stadium Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

"Every time I come back here, I grow to appreciate it. I only wish I had free time. A lot of times I come back and it's business. I'm looking forward to coming back here where I can hopefully lose a lot of weight before I come and hit all the pubs and put that weight back on. That's the truth."

Marrone, who said earlier in the week he believes has played or coached more games at Wembley than any other American coach/player, spoke to the media Friday after the team's practice at Allianz Park.

The UK media pursued the angle and Marrone expanded on his feelings about the city.

Marrone, a center for the London Monarchs of the old World League of American Football in 1991 and 1992, played home games at Wembley for the Monarchs in those seasons. The Monarchs won the World Bowl at Wembley in June 1991. Marrone also coached at Wembley for the Jaguars the past two seasons, played there in a preseason game for the Dolphins in 1988 and coached with the New Orleans Saints there as an assistant in 2008.

"I mean this: my favorite city is London outside Jacksonville," Marrone said. "I'm excited to go to Wembley as a head coach."

Marrone added, "Anytime I've been here, it's always been a great environment."

Marrone during his remarks gave a "shout out" to what he called his "favorite pub, The Red Lion in Bushey."

"I became good at drinking pints and we played darts – and for an American, I can throw some darts," Marrone said.

*Marrone as he had been much of the week remained effusive on Friday in his praise of a Ravens defense that has forced 10 turnovers – including eight interceptions – in two games. "Everything's contested," Marrone said. "They're going to get their hands on a lot of footballs. They're good at the safety positons. They're excellent at reading the quarterback and breaking on the ball. When you're good and you put pressure on the quarterback, I think that's what generates the turnovers. It's not necessarily just one group. As a defense they've done an outstanding job. It's difficult in this league to have 10 turnovers. … Every time that ball pops up on the air they seem to come down with it.''

*Jaguars left tackle Cam Robinson (shoulder), cornerback Jalen Ramsey (ankle) and quarterback Chad Henne (illness) were listed as questionable on the Friday injury report. Defensive end Lerentee McCray (knee) and wide receiver Jaelen Strong (hamstring) were ruled out. …
