First off the field: Training Camp Day 13

JACKSONVILLE – Jalen Ramsey returned, as did a few other front-line guys.

That made for a newsworthy – and warm – morning and early afternoon on Day 13 of Jaguars 2017 Training Camp.

Ramsey, an all-rookie cornerback last season and the No. 5 overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft, practiced for the first time in '17 training camp Saturday. He spent the first two weeks of camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list, and was removed from PUP Saturday morning.

Ramsey, who underwent core muscle surgery in mid-June, worked on a limited basis Saturday.

Also returning Saturday:

Defensive end Calais Campbell, cornerback A.J. Bouye and offensive tackle Jermey Parnell. All three missed the team's 31-24 victory over the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots in Foxboro, Mass., Thursday with undisclosed injuries.

Bouye left practice last Thursday and Parnell had worked in practice last week. Campbell, like Bouye a high-profile 2017 unrestricted free agent, had been out since early in training camp.

The Jaguars worked in full pads for about two and a half hours in 86-degree temperatures Saturday on the practice fields adjacent to EverBank Field. They will practice again Sunday, a practice that – like Saturday's – will be closed to the public.

The Jaguars will practice Monday and Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the practice fields adjacent to EverBank Field. Those practices are open to the public.

A look at Training Camp Day 13:

STANDING OUT

*This was a good day for the first-team offense, with quarterback Blake Bortles having one of his better practices of camp and consistently hitting receivers in stride. He completed multiple passes to wide receiver Marqise Lee, and also found wide receiver Allen Robinson and tight ends Ben Koyack and Marcedes Lewis for intermediate/long gains on accurate throws. …

*Backup quarterback Chad Henne also had one of the day's better throws, an accurate back-shoulder pass for a 15-yard gain to reserve wide receiver Arrelious Benn. …

PLAY OF THE DAY

This could have been any number of passes from Bortles to Lee. The two appeared to have good timing throughout Saturday's work, with Bortles twice hitting Lee down the middle of the field in stride on crossing patterns. The ultimate play of the day, though? A one-handed reception by Robinson on a pass down the right sideline from Bortles for a 30-yard gain late in practice.

INJURY WATCH

Guard Earl Watford, linebacker Justin Horton, tight end Neal Sterling, tight end Mychal Rivera remained out of practice. Wide receiver Allen Hurns attended practice, but did not participate; he sustained an undisclosed injury against the Patriots in practice last week.

Ramsey, Campbell, Bouye and Parnell returned to practice after missing Thursday's victory over the Patriots. Cornerback Aaron Colvin remained on the Physically Unable to Perform list. Colvin has been out of practice since the beginning of camp.

NOTABLE

*The Jaguars' offensive line continues to appear to have taken shape, with the following group working with the first team Saturday: Parnell at right tackle, A.J. Cann at right guard, Brandon Linder at center, Patrick Omameh at left guard and rookie Cam Robinson at left tackle. Josh Wells also took reps with the first team at left tackle. …

*With Ramsey and Colvin not working in team drills, the Jaguars continued to work Josh Johnson, Tyler Patmon and Brian Dixon at cornerback opposite Bouye. …
