The Jacksonville Jaguars welcome the Cincinnati Bengals to EverBank Stadium for the first Monday Night Game in Jacksonville in 12 years. The Jaguars last appeared on Monday Night Football in a home contest against the San Diego Chargers on December 5, 2011. Head Coach Doug Pederson owns a 5-2 record on Monday Night Football. The Jaguars enter their Monday night matchup in first place in the AFC South after defeating the Titans and Texans in back-to-back weeks.
Earlier this week, Pederson spoke about the opportunity to play a home game on Monday Night Football. "It's obviously exciting, it's great for our organization and franchise and for our players to be in the national spotlight on a Monday night. We're fortunate to have a home game in front of our fans. It's always an electric moment, it's very exciting to be a part of these games. We'll have conversations this week, it's really just approaching it the same, learning to control your emotions" Pederson said.
