In and out: Harrison, Patmon to start

GameDay-Game Update Not Dressing

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Ronnie Harrison is expected to start Saturday. So is Tyler Patmon.

Those two lineup changes in the secondary were among the noteworthy Jaguars announcements shortly before their Preseason Week 2 game against the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium Saturday at 1 p.m.

Harrison, a rookie third-round selection from the University of Alabama, is expected to start for Tashaun Gipson at free safety. Gipson was among 12 Jaguars players ruled out for the game shortly before kickoff.

The other 11 players ruled out:

Cornerback Jalen Ramsey, safety Cody Davis, nose tackle Eli Ankou, defensive end Dante Fowler Jr., linebacker Brooks Ellis, guard Andrew Norwell, right tackle Jermey Parnell, tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, defensive lineman Taven Bryan, defensive end Dawuane Smoot and defensive tackle Marcell Dareus.

Patmon will start for Ramsey, who along with Fowler as expected will miss the game while serving a one-week team suspension. Both are expected to return to the team Monday.

Josh Wells is expected to start at right tackle for Parnell, with Chris Reed starting for Norwell, James O'Shaughnessy starting for Seferian-Jenkins and Abry Jones starting for Dareus.

Ankou and Smoot did not make the trip to Minnesota for a week that featured two joint practices against the Vikings Wednesday.
