Jaguars linebacker Russell Allen and Shenette Howard from The ROAR of the Jaguars cheerleaders, team up to co-host the 2013 *JAGS Teen Talk….Game Plan for Success *television show, a forum for teens and parents to learn how teens can develop their own game plan for success in life. In a unique media partnership, the show will air May 30 – June 2 on all Jacksonville-area TV stations.
The 2013 show features four teen initiatives, APEL Project Youthlink, Landrum Middle School Ride With Pride and Anti-bullying programs, PACT Prevention Coalition of St. John's County, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida – Beyond School Walls at Andrew Jackson High School, and how the participating teens are overcoming obstacles and staying on a path to success. Russell Allen and Shenette Howard, along with 30 middle and high school students in the studio audience, discuss developing their game plan for success. Cyber Expert Theresa Payton gives tips on internet safety, and local DJ, T-Roy, keeps the set energetic throughout the show. Special guest, Jaguars Head Coach Gus Bradley, answers questions and shares his advice for teens on how to create their game plan for future success by encouraging teens to make responsible decisions, avoid risky behavior and overcome challenges.
The partnership with Jacksonville media including WJCT 7, WAWS FOX30, WTEV CBS47, WJXT 4, CW17, WTLV 12, WJXX 25, Comcast On Demand, The Florida Times-Union/Jacksonville.com, Clear Channel Outdoor, PRI Productions, and United Way 211, and sponsorship by Florida Blue makes this production possible. WJCT 7 Public Television is the producing station, Jacksonville.com produced the Jags Teen Talk Website, and CW17 produced the promos and PSAs that are featured on the website.
