JAGUARS RETURN TO TWO-A-DAYS DESPITE INJURIES

Jaguars tight end Rich Griffith, who started 15 games in 1995, suffered a shoulder separation during the morning practice today and is out indefinitely, and quarterback Mark Brunell suffered a strained left calf and missed the afternoon practice. Brunell's status is day to day.

Three other players continue to miss practice: WR Terrence Warren (avulsion fracture in right thumb), S Monty Grow (shin contusion) and OT Jason Dukes (sprained left ankle). Linebacker Brant Boyer (hip strain) returned to practice on a limited basis.

Jaguars head coach Tom Coughlin said intensity was lacking in some of the morning drills. "Sometimes we were not real focused on both sides of the ball," he said. "But it's preseason. We have to stay on schedule and look at where we are and make adjustments."

The Jaguars will practice at 8:40 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. They will travel to St. Louis on Thursday, the day before they face the Rams in the Trans World Dome.
