As a Marine Corps officer, Lane inspires the next generation of military personnel recruiting prospective marines, administering the Oath of Enlistment to future marines, delivering motivational remarks and answering questions about his experience in the military. Lane participates in Jaguars Salute to Service programming, including movie nights hosting active-duty and retired military members and their families.

Most recently, in recognition of the 25th anniversary of 9/11, Lane spent time at the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) headquarters to learn more about their mission, the services they offer warriors, and their ongoing support of active-duty military and veterans. He has also helped host WWP warriors at the team's practice facility ahead of the Soldier Ride 250 earlier this year.

The Jaguars' commitment to the men and women who serve is a part of our DNA year-round. As such, in recognition of the NFL's Salute to Service initiative and in the weeks leading up to our Salute to Service game on Nov. 29, the Jaguars are hosting a variety of events to show support of the military community in Jacksonville. These activities include a base visit to Naval Station Mayport, participation in the City of Jacksonville's Veterans Day Parade, youth football camps, school visits and hosting the annual flag tournament among the military branches via the Battle of the Branches at NAS Jacksonville. The Jaguars Foundation also provided $100,000 in grants that benefit Jacksonville's military and veteran community in the annual Celebration of Valor Ceremony held Nov. 2 at Jacksonville City Hall.

Rayuan Lane III, The ROAR, and Jaxson de Ville joined families from Naval Station Mayport, Destroyer Squadron 40, TAPS, UNF Army ROTC, and K9s for Warriors for a special movie-theater night presented by CSX. Swipe through the highlight moments from this unforgettable evening!

As the award's presenting sponsor, USAA, a leading provider of insurance and banking  to U.S. military members, veterans and their families, will contribute $25,000 in the recipient's name to official aid societies representing all U.S. military branches. The NFL Foundation will match USAA's contribution by donating an additional $25,000 to the recipient's military nonprofit charity of choice.
