Jaguars Sign Long Snapper Matt Overton

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed seventh-year LS Matt Overton to the 53-man active roster, the club announced today. To make room on the roster, the Jaguars placed sixth-year LS Carson Tinkeron the team's reserve/injured list.

Overton, 6-1, 243, has played in 89 career games, including nine with the Jaguars in 2017 prior to being placed on Injured Reserve on Nov. 14, 2017. From 2012-14, Overton appeared in 80 games with the Indianapolis Colts after previously spending time with the Seattle Seahawks in 2008 and 2010. Overton was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2013 during his tenure in Indianapolis. He has also spent time with the United Football League's (UFL) Florida Tuskers in 2009, as well as the UFL's Omaha Nighthawks.

Overton will wear No. 45 for the Jaguars.
