Jaguars Sign Offensive Lineman Greg Van Roten

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed OL Greg Van Roten, the club announced today.

Van Roten, 6-3, 308, has appeared in 10 career games (seven in 2012, three in 2013) after originally signing with Green Bay as an undrafted rookie in 2012. Following two seasons with the Packers (2012-13), Van Roten was released on Feb. 11, 2014, and spent the 2014 offseason with the Seattle Seahawks. After being released on Aug. 27, 2014, Van Roten signed with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League on May 22, 2015, where he spent the last two seasons.

Van Roten, 27, was an Ivy League All-Conference tackle at Pennsylvania from 2008-12 and attended the Wharton School of Business and received his Bachelor of Science in Economics with a Concentration in Marketing. A native of Rockville Centre, N.Y., Van Roten was an all-state tackle at Chaminade (Mineola, N.Y.) High School.
