ROSTER TRANSACTION

JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars added a veteran quarterback Wednesday morning.

Landry Jones, a sixth-year NFL veteran with 18 career appearances, signed with the Jaguars Wednesday. The Jaguars had a roster spot open after trading defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. to the Los Angeles Rams Tuesday.

Jones (6-feet, 225 pounds), a fourth-round selection by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2013 NFL Draft, started five games in five seasons for the Steelers. He completed 108 of 169 passes for 1,310 yards and eight touchdowns with seven interceptions.

Jones started the Steelers' regular-season finale in 2017, completing 23 of 27 passes for 239 yards and a touchdown in a 28-24 victory over Cleveland.
